Your gift will go twice as far this Christmas
This festive period, you can give the gift of sight to twice as many children and teachers throughout Ghana! But only if you donate before the end of the year. All your donations made before 31st December 2020 will be DOUBLED by our generous funding partners.
With your support, VFAN will work with local partners in Ghana to train nurses in primary eye care, provide free vision screenings, and extend access to affordable eye care services.
But we can’t do it without you. Our goal is £50,000. Let’s get it done together.

Imagine your child struggling at school or your family being unable to work all for the want of an eye test and a pair of glasses
Every £3 donated this Christmas could change the life of a child who needs specially prepared lenses to see clearly. Now imagine what you could do once your generous donation is doubled! Here are some ideas:
Your donation of £30, doubled to £60, could change the lives of an ENTIRE CLASS of 20 school children who need specially prepared lenses to see clearly.
Your donation of £50, doubled to £100, could purchase 3 Primary Eye Care kits, including essential PPE, for community nurses to screen children in schools. Without this kit, nurses can´t put their skills to use.
Your donation of £125, doubled to £250, could pay for a Ghanaian nurse to attend our innovate Primary Eye Care training so she or he can sustainably treat her community for eye health issues long term.
Your donation of £250, doubled to £500 could cover the cost of eye drops needed to help cure debilitating conjunctivitis in at least 500 children.
Your donation of £500, doubled to £1,000 could purchase a motorbike for our team to reach rural communities, essential to ensure no one struggles to see clearly because of where they live.
Your support this Christmas could mean the difference between a child staying in or dropping out of school.
In Ghana, adults and children are needlessly missing out on these simple, low cost solutions because of a lack of trained professionals, a lack of supplies and unaffordable glasses that could transform their lives.
A staggering 95% of Ghanaians who need glasses do not have access to them. Poor vision results in lower grades, productivity and quality of life. Without these basic services, people simply cannot reach their potential.
Will you help transform lives today?
This year, to help share some joy, we’ve also teamed up with our friends at bloobloom to give three lucky donors the chance to win a free pair of exceptional designer glasses. Each donation, no matter how big or small, will automatically enter you into the prize draw! Promotion ends 31/12/2020 12am GMT. Winners will be selected by random drawing and contacted via email.
